Final Project: Adding 10 New Content Elements to my Immersive Library

This is when I started experiencing the issue with content taking up too much data.

I started moving the articles away from eachother to have them render more easily.

I am was struggling to have the together and easy for the world users but also have them render fully.

It required the perfect touch .

The overview from the wordly tower.

Web GL Experiments Using Google Chrome Browser

http://www.chromeexperiments.com/detail/travelling-fish/ This experiment came in a very app like game that was entertaining and had good graphics
\.

This experiment gave you a tour of all the planets including the moons of each one. It was a great representatin of the gravitational pulls each planet experiences as a result of the sun.

This is one of my favorite experiments, it consolidates many many articles in the form of a universe and you can truly surf the web!

This was an eerie world, it was composed of structures resembling castles and fire casms,

Immersive Libraries and Museums

Due to the fast past and technogical world we live in many of the existing infrastructures and establishments are faced with two options; fall into the past and lose relevance, or choose to adapt to the times. Libraries and Museums have chosen the latter. The leaders of these industries realize the neccesity to provide their users with an interactive medium to utilize. However, the complexity of this feat follows the cliché, easier said than done.

The leaders of this mission have actively been building this immersive library on http://jied.org. They are actively trying to achieve several essential objectives. One of these is not only creating the interface, but also deciding on what content is posted upon it. They want to post relevant and usuable content that is keeping with up with the times. However, in an age where yesterdays technology is considered ancient this is difficult. This is also an objective, to define what the neccesary informantion that should be posted. Now  with a project like this one, all the man hours and personell it takes to create it takes alot of money and the actual funding of the project needs to be actively pursued.

Once this interface is created, it opens up infinite of doors! With collabortive computing still in its infancy the usuage and benefits are already widespread. This is only projected to grow, and doing so this interface needs to have several components. There must be personell that are able to act as a help line for the users as standard librarians do. however, these "librarians" would be doing so remotely. This is one of the objectives, to be able to effectively communicate via text chat vid cam or audio mediums. This would be just as effective as the real world libraries, however it offers a convienence that is unparrelled. Not only does it promote collaborative and conveient knowledge search, but also is an incredible networing vehicle! People researching and learning similair information or participationg on the same project will all be focused into one forum where they can actively communicate with each other! This online community will pay dividends to all its users.

Another great societal benefit will be offered through JIED, this interface can be used to educate and entertain at risk youths, or youths without access to these textbooks for whatever reason. It is obvious JIED is keeping up with the times and offering a convienent , yet essential product. The maintanence and up keep of the site will be imperative moving forward, this site has a bright future. Check it out at

Final #2 : Six Monecular Depth cues

This is using the Monecular depth cue of sizing. In this picture you see a series of shapes of different sizes. The truck in the far background is actually the largest. This shows how objects that are far away can seem smaller. Even if they are larger.

This snapshot depicts the monecular depth cue of occulusion. You can clearly see how the smoke blots out the other objects behind it. This is utilizing occulsion because it is the formatting that the objects behind are blotted out.

This monecular depth cue in this snap shot is utilizing the lighting and shading. IF you direct your eyes to the pole on the left the shading on the face gives us the impression that the pole is 3D.

This snapshot monecular depth cue is spotting the linear perspective. The lines here on the floor move to the back of the page until they converge and form almost 1 point. This is relating to the linear perspective because it touches on parrell lines almost touching.

This snapshot picture touches on the texture density monecular depth cues. As ypou can see the flooring is the repeating floor board pattern and is dense close. However as your eye follows it down the deck you can see the flooring becomes more dense.
This snapshot captures the monecular depth cue of atmospheric perspective. As you can see the wall and glass to the right of my avatar is incredibly detailed. You can see the glass and the panels of the wooden wall. However as your eye moves to the right, in the distance you can see the fuzzy trees. This is what atmosphereic perspective is to me.
